Education And Related Work Experience

All Coaches in Colorado must hold a current concussion certification from the NFHS or Children’s Hospital Colorado upon hire.

Previous coaching experience and/or participation at the high school or college level is preferred.

Ability to promote and follow Board of Education policies, Superintendent Policies and building and department procedures.

Ability to communicate, interact and work effectively and cooperatively with all people including those from diverse ethnic and educational backgrounds.

Head Coaches must hold a current certificate in AED/CPR upon hire.

Experience preferred, demonstrable understanding of the sport seeking to coach.

Accept and implement co-curricular philosophy of the school

Follow program norms, policy, and expectations for players and families

Direct assigned lower level teams within the program in accordance with program philosophy

Attend and assist during preseason parent meetings

Follows the rules and regulations of the school and league of participation

Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills, time and priority management skills.

Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Three years experience in large scale and/or sports nutrition programming.

Registered dietitian ISAK Level 1 certification.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be

Current CSCS and/or SCCC and CPR/First Aid certifications required

Expertise and certification in current methods and strategies for intercollegiate strength and conditioning

Ability to teach/train/develop student-athletes to optimally perform the physical requirements necessary for success in competition

Understanding and knowledge of best practices in strength and conditioning including performance enhancement and injury prevention

Knowledge of NCAA rules/regulations and a commitment to the Department’s culture of compliance

Demonstrate a wide variety of ability and knowledge in developing pre-season, in-season and off-season programs
