Clinical Lab Technical Supervisor Jobs

Resolves client inquiries and operational issues in a timely manner by consulting with the Manager.

Requires at minimum an Associate degree and certification as a Medical Lab Technician

Prior supervisor experience managing several direct reports preferred

Experience in a high volume working environment

Knowledge of quality assurance practices and procedures

Participates in available continuing education programs to maintain and improve professional skills.

Organizes and prioritizes workload to ensure efficiency and accuracy in the performance of their job duties.

All specimens are processed promptly upon receipt in the laboratory or department; critical samples (Code/Trauma/Priority) are processed or collected immediately.

All specimens are handled or collected appropriately as stated in the procedure manual(s); specimens are stored properly.

Knows basic functions of LIS and how to use them; can trouble shoot problems using error log and multiple computer functions.

Must have a year of management experience

Monitor and follow daily pending report throughout day to ensure timely reporting of results meeting metrics mandated by Upper Management

Inspection/Audits/Surveys: Coordinate pre-inspection evaluations, post-inspection responses and interim-self inspections with lab management and staff.

The Technical Supervisor must have a year minimum LC-MS experience.

Four years of experience working in a high complexity laboratory

Assist in all lab areas as needed: answer calls, perform CLS duties in all departments, manage issues; resolve specimen integrity issues
