Certification with diabetes mellitus management

Clinical pharmacy practice setting experience; or specialized residency and/or board certification in Pharmacotherapy or other specialized field

3+ years of relevant clinical pharmacy experience

Requires some accountability for scheduling, assigning or coordinating work.

BS degree in Pharmacy (required)

Registered Pharmacist in Iowa or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire (new or out of state)

Manage inbound and outbound patient calls and inquiries

Manage challenging patient situations: respond promptly to patient needs and service requests

At least two years of experience as a pharmacy technician or medical assistant

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Able to work with multiple applications to provide a seamless experience for the patient

Highly motivated, focused, and productive while working from home

5 years of relevant experience as a pharmacy technician in managed care, insurance, or pharmacy benefit management

Contribute to organizational continuous improvement efforts and actively seek personal growth in clinical, technical, and insurance knowledge.

Strong communication skills (verbal and written)

Process requests using databases, validate data, and handle correspondence

Obtain necessary documentation for resolving inquiries

Engage in various tasks, including call answering, outreach to prescribers/patients, QA participation, and collaboration with pharmacists

Full time remote work from home with active pharmacy technician license/registration and national pharmacy technician certification.

Communicates selected prior authorization criteria, pharmacy benefit coverage and formulary alternatives to physicians, physician`s office staff, medical management staff and/or pharmacists.

Determines appropriateness for medications. Communicates decision to physicians, physician`s office staff, medical management staff and/or pharmacists.

For CPTs assigned to work the fax queue, responsibilities will also include:

Must have an active pharmacy technician licensure or registration in accordance with state requirements.

In states that do not require licensure or registration, must have an active national certification (e.g., PTCB or ExCPT).

1+yrs. of retail pharmacy experience

Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

Active state pharmacy tech license in AZ, OH, FL or TX

High School diploma or GED
