Claims Representative Workers Compensation Jobs in Nevada

Provide WC claims’ management education and WC regulatory updates to local business units.

Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Finance or Nursing background preferred

Minimum seven (7) years of experience managing WC claims

WC technical knowledge and WC case law in multiple jurisdictions from Ohio to California

1+ years of experience adjudicating Workers’ Compensation claims

1+ years of experience processing lost time claims

Ability to multi-task and understand multiple products and multiple levels of benefits within each product

Handle claims consistent with clients' and corporate policies, procedures and standard methodologies in accordance with any statutory, regulatory and ethics requirements.

Minimum of 2 years related claim's experience required

Knowledge of accepted industry standards and practices

Computer experience with related claims and business software

Bachelor’s Degree Preferred (Business Administration, Insurance or Risk Management) or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience

Provide oversight as needed to respective regional Workplace Health Team for day-to-day operations, project management, and claim escalations.

A background in risk management and/or workers’ compensation claims management with a large-scale manufacturer or distributor is preferred but not required

Generate quarterly reports to Workers’ Compensation Manager related to high-exposure events, injury trends, claim costs, and workers’ compensation metrics.

Coordinate with the Return-to-Work team for employees who are receiving disability benefits due to non-accommodation in their department

Ad-hoc reporting, data analysis, presentations and training as requested by the Workers’ Compensation Manager.

5+ years of experience with workers compensation

3+ years of experience with general clerical duties

Investigates questionable claims. Determines need for additional medical information.

Performs periodic follow-ups to verify continued existence of a disabling condition.

Responds to telephone and written inquiries from claimants, attorneys, physicians and policyholders.

Keeps track of time frames required of mandated correspondence.
