Position Overview


CRH Americas, Inc., is seeking two Workers’ Compensation (WC) Claims’ Advisors – West Regions of the U.S. who will partner with local business units and serve as an expert for WC claims’ management to minimize WC liabilities. The position will collaborate with the third-party claims administrator (TPA) and coordinate with local business units to improve WC claims’ outcomes and reduce WC claims’ cost. This role, reporting to the Manager – WC Programs, will provide direct WC claims’ management and WC settlement evaluation with TPA and local business units. Successful candidates will have the ability to provide strategic solutions for internal stakeholders, work closely with WC claims’ advisors team, and partners while also being a member of the Risk Management team.


Base Annual Salary Range: $85,000 - $100,000


Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)


To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.


  • Provide WC claims’ management education and WC regulatory updates to local business units.
  • Communicate WC claims’ exposures and WC claims’ reserve needs.
  • Partner with local business units, TPA, and medical partners for effective WC treatment options.
  • Always maintain professional demeanor while representing the company
  • Participate in and coach local business units during WC claims’ reviews with TPA.
  • Other duties as directed by management
  • Regular and predictable attendance at assigned times is required
  • Utilize RMIS system to monitor WC claims and produce WC claims’ metrics.


Qualifications


Education/Experience


  • Demonstrated skills collaborating with TPA, medical and legal partners
  • Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Finance or Nursing background preferred
  • Exposure to the building materials, construction or manufacturing sectors preferred
  • Minimum seven (7) years of experience managing WC claims
  • Professional designation preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and RMIS systems
  • WC technical knowledge and WC case law in multiple jurisdictions from Ohio to California


Work Requirements


  • Must be willing to travel and work away from home when required
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check
  • Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook
  • Willingness to work independently within in a team environment and assist the team with other duties as required
  • Must be 18 years in age or older
