Through the chain of command, inform the appropriate staff of problems or issues that require the intervention of senior staff.

Meet collectively with all unit personnel at least once per month to review unit concerns and operations.

Deploy personnel to ensure maximum efficiency and optimum service to public.

Explain and enforce laws and rules relevant to the field.

At least two years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.

Computer Skills: Proficient working knowledge of computer hardware and software, including Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Inspect parts, assemblies, and finished products in accordance with contract specifications and/or legal requirements.

Work in conjunction with the Engineer to create Forms and Routers based on in-house requirements.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to use basic mathematics.

Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills, strict attention to detail, and ability to multitask and prioritize as necessary, with minimal supervisory direction.

Knowledge of the Navy Working Capital fund including requirements planning, budgeting and execution.

Experience working with industry and organic service providers to deliver complex, critical systems and material support to the warfighter.

Demonstrated competence in wholesale and retail support strategies for complex supply chains in support of a worldwide operation.

Strong oral and written communication skills. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite particularly Word, Excel and Site Manager

NICET IV or acceptable equivalent ASCE grade or combination of acceptable education and experience on similar duties as a NYSDOT employee

Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs

Minimum 12 years of experience of inspection work on heavy highway projects

Past experience managing construction contractor and inspection staff.

Ability to work schedules conducive to project-specific requirements that may extend beyond the typical workweek.

Manages and provides monthly reporting related to equipment assigned to inspectors, including vehicles.

Assists the Watershed Protection Group Manager in the discharge of their duties, as assigned

A minimum of 8 years of relevant environmental experience in stormwater quality and onsite wastewater

A minimum of 5 years of direct supervisory experience

Knowledge of environmental issues surrounding water quality, specifically stormwater, OSSFs, and environmental compliance

Skilled in building professional relationship across multiple disciplines

Thorough knowledge of the applicable Civil Aviation Authority airworthiness certification requirements.

Working knowledge of production management computer systems.

Participates in Strategic Business Unit management team meetings to ensure continuity and focus of SBU and corporate strategies.

Participates in special projects as assigned. Qualification and certification of Inspection Personnel

Approves certifications and issues inspection stamps to candidates upon completion of pertinent Training Development Plans.

Evaluates the inspection process and leads continuous improvement initiatives on the business unit related to inspection activities. Technical Requirements
