Chemical Dependency Outpatient Therapist Jobs

Writes orders for medications, laboratory work, and diagnostic tests.

Interprets laboratory and test results.

Confers with attending physicians, residents, nursing staff, and/or other care providers to ensure optimum quality of patient care.

Shift Details: Full Time, Night shift

Unit/Location: Chemical Dependency unit at West Pines; Wheat Ridge, Colorado

Additional Details: Shift differentials given for evenings, nights and weekends

One year of nursing experience in a comparable setting, preferred

Shift Details: Full Time, Nights

Unit/Location: Chemical Dependency; Wheat Ridge, Colorado

One year minimum experience in addiction/behavioral health required.

Two years of experience in addiction/behavioral health environment preferred.

Experience in addiction/behavioral health environment preferred.

Working knowledge of CARF and/or JCAHO accreditation standards required.

Knowledge of the 12-step, Smart Recovery, and other treatment models required.

High School Graduate or equivalent required.

Maintaining positive regard for and working knowledge of AA/NA/Al-Anon and other 12-step programs.

Two years of applicable work experience.

Experience working with families in an intensive outpatient and inpatient setting.

Must have thorough knowledge of Indian culture.

Evidence of strong interpersonal, clinical, and written communication skills.

Assuming responsibility for an assigned caseload of clients.

Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong computer skills including use of word processing and spreadsheet programs.

Under administrative review, provides therapy and counseling services for an intensive outpatient chemical dependency treatment program.

2. Coordinates and/or implements all operational policies and procedures related to the functioning of the program.

5. Participates in departmental teaching and research activities as appropriate.

6. Performs other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
