Chassis Engineer Jobs

Basic knowledge of GD&T (proficiency is a plus)

Experience with component design, analysis, and validation

Prior experience in a relevant engineering field is valued, but the team has openings from entry level to expert

Validate components per defined engineering requirements

Participate in the sourcing process and manage engineering relationships with suppliers

Working Experience 1-2 years in Purchasing or Engineering or Sale Marketing (OEM)

Excellent in cost analysis / communication and negotiation skills

Support related function for part development, quality and delivery

Develop and maintain supplier relation and their performance for all QCDDM SR

Must have understanding of requirements management, function validation, diagnostics, and CAN structures.

Quality systems experience in a manufacturing environment (automotive preferred).

Establish and maintain control plans and inspection standards to assure critical features are controlled through the assembly/production processes.

Experience in Fleet Management Monitoring, Field Tire Monitoring

Experience in Tire Tuning to meet Vehicle Level Targets for Noise, Ride, Handling, Wear, Durability & Range

Establish Objective Targets for the Development of Tires for all active development projects

Successfully working in a fast paced, detail oriented and highly collaborative team environment

Resolve issues and concerns with cross functional teams including engineering, supply chain, manufacturing and/or service

Evolve Tire Quality Monitoring Tehniques to confirm Production Tire Performance

Develop and document troubleshooting and remote diagnosis techniques with service technicians, technical support specialists and regional technical specialists.

Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Automotive Technology or similar, quivalent experience considered

2+ years of experience testing, validating, diagnosing, and/or designing automotive brake systems or related hardware

Experience with vehicle dynamics, especially with traction/stability control, is a plus

Knowledge of vehicle architecture, CAN protocol, UDS protocol is a plus

Experience with full product life cycles from prototype to production to aftermarket

3-5 years of experience in automotive engineering with a focus on chassis development.

Experience with CAD software, preferably SolidWorks or Catia.

Experience in designing and developing chassis systems, steering systems, braking systems.

Experience in analyzing and interpreting data for the purpose of assembling test reports.

Experience with electric vehicles is preferred.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
