Centralized Surgery Scheduler Jobs in Kansas

Responsible for contacting payers to verify patient benefits and obtain necessary authorization.

Prepares and distributes the daily surgery schedule to the Nursing Managers, RNs, Pre-Op and PACU Nurse and Technicians, Business Office Manager.

Promptly communicates any patient problems to the Business Office Manager and/or Director of Nursing.

Perform other clerical duties as directed by the Business Office Manager.

Required: Minimum one (1) year experience in surgery scheduling and/ or procedural scheduling

We help physicians address everything beyond surgical procedures, including anesthesia and ancillary service lines.

Meets commitments, works independently, accepts accountability, handles change, sets personal standards, stays focused under pressure, and meets attendance/punctuality requirements.

Minimum of one year of experience in an appointment scheduling position, preferably in a medical setting required.

Schedules procedures with correct date, time, surgeon, procedure, anesthesia and pre-operative interview.

Gives scheduling instructions to physicians’ office personnel courteously and accurately.

Schedules appropriate number of surgical cases per day.

Schedules correct procedures in designated operating rooms.
