2 years' grounds maintenance, irrigation repair and/or concrete flat work experience and/or a combination or experience and education;

Knowledge in the use of operating hand and power tools;

Employee may have frequent interruptions and be required to manage competing priorities with inflexible deadlines;

Communication skills to interface with other departments and the public verbally and in writing;

Knowledge of National Cemetery Administration Operational Standards and Measures

Experience supporting or working with veterans and their families.

Equipment Maintenance – Cemetery equipment and tools must be properly cleaned, maintained, and accounted for.

Facility Maintenance – Cemetery buildings and infrastructure must be well maintained and functional.

Headstones – Ensure headstones, markers and niche covers are ordered timely, placed correctly, and maintained.
