Cemetery Maintenance Worker Jobs in Texas

Performs related duties and fulfills responsibilities as required. Department Specific Convention Facilities & Alamodome

Inspects floor and cleaning equipment and reports any equipment in need of maintenance or repair. Job Requirements

One (1) year of experience in labor, maintenance, and/or custodial work.

High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) certificate.

Knowledge of manual labor tasks.

Knowledge of hazards and safety measures as they apply to the type of work being performed.

Performs a variety of maintenance, repair, and construction work in the care of public grounds, buildings, streets, sidewalks, right-of-way, and easements.

Utilizing blowers and hand tools, cleans parking lots and sidewalks.

Maintains all city planters by weeding and changing out plants.

Collects trash and empties trash cans at bus stops, city malls, and city owned parking lots.

Maintains lighting in city facilities and parking lots.

Replaces broken sprinklers and irrigation lines.

Prior building maintenance experience preferred, but not required

High school diploma or GED is required

Possess a high interest in mechanical work, or working with your hands

Must be able to lift 50 pounds and maneuver/transport objects weighing up to 200-300 lbs

Able to work outside or on ladders for long periods of time
