Cash Staff Accountant Jobs

Collaborate with partners from engineering to customer experience to inform strategic builds of essential compliance program elements

Expert level abilities in SQL and data analysis/visualization tools (i.e. Tableau, Looker)

Prepares financial reports analyzing data for management review.

Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Interprets accounting data, analyzes reports and recommends action to be taken.

Calculates payments to regulatory authorities based on a review of contracts and regulations.

Ensures the balance sheet accounts are accurately stated based on compiled reconciliation procedures and agreement with source documents.

Enters monthly journal entries to properly record accounting transactions, ensuring that journal entries have proper back up to substantiate the entry.

Your responsibilities as the Treasury Accountant are:

Prepare and maintain statement of cash flows

Prepare and distribute the daily cash report

Posting cash payments, resolving customer discrepancies, and reconciling the GL with the AR and AP reports

Analyze debit memos and short pays for credit memo or collection submissions

Bank Account reconciliations and corresponding journal entries.

Work closely with key contacts in other finance departments (e.g., Revenue, Billing, Order Operations) to collaborate on cross-functional initiatives

2 to 5 years of relevant accounting experience

Strong Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., Power Query, advanced formulas)

Experience working with large volumes of data (e.g., SQL, querying databases)

Experience with payment processing platforms is a plus (e.g., Stripe, Adyen)

Working knowledge of reconciliation software (T-Recs, Blackline, etc.)

Bachelor's or master’s degree in accounting or related finance field

2 to 5 years of relevant accounting experience; CPA is a plus

Analyze and reconcile financial accounts (e.g., bank accounts, merchant accounts) from various regions and financial institutions to ensure accurate cash reporting

Research and determine the appropriate accounting treatment of unusual or aged reconciling items

Strong organizational skills and ability to manage large amounts of data.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business

3+ years of dedicated specialized cash receipts experience.

Law Firm and/or professional services background preferred

Strong proficiency in Excel, Word and Outlook.

Ability to work additional hours as needed.
