3-5 years related experience and/or training as a Locksmith.

Must be detail-oriented and have good customer service skills.

Skookum is seeking a skilled and driven Locksmith with a professional attitude.

Fabricate minor parts from raw stock and install, maintain, repair, clean, re-pack, and adjust all makes and types of door closures.

Change combination by inserting new or repaired tumblers into lock. Establish keying systems for buildings.

This job does not have an education qualification requirement.

This is a Career Program (CP) 17 - Materiel Maintenance Management position.

This position has a requirement to lift up to 50 lbs. in the regular performance of duties.

Require knowledge of mechanical and electrical locking systems, with a wide variety of hardware.

In addition some carpentry skills for door, frame, and hinge to complete security required for door opening.

Perform the full range of duties, working independently, applying well-developed subject knowledge, and exercising judgment and initiative.

Is able to manage workflow efficiently and effectively by prioritizing and multitasking.

Equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade in lieu of a degree we will consider equivalent related experience

Equivalent work experience equaling three (3) years of locksmith and general carpentry

Or equivalent Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above.

Individuals under a federal or state weapons disability if this position requires firearms certification/recertification and use;

Install, repair and replace cylinder and key locks

Panic bars and/or related locking hardware/devices

Lubricates and adjusts locks and locking devices (e.g., changes combinations on safes, replaces tumblers and/or padlocks)

Installs deadbolts, makes master locks and keys
