Minimum one year experience in providing services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, preferably with older adults
Strong attention to detail and effective communication skills to manage relationships
Provide guidance with social skills, advocacy and self-esteem and teach strategies to live as independently as possible.
Full compensation/benefits package for employees working 30+ hours/week.
Assist individuals receiving care with daily living, including personal hygiene, bathing, bathroom assistance, grooming, preparing meals, and medication administration.
Transport to medical appointments, errands, shopping or activities in the community.

What is Caregiver for Day Program Job Qualifications?

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• CPR and First Aid certification
• Ability to pass a background check

What is Caregiver for Day Program Job Knowledge?

• Knowledge of the principles and practices of providing care to individuals with disabilities
• Knowledge of the principles and practices of providing emotional support
• Knowledge of the principles and practices of providing assistance with activities of daily living
