Campus Space Planner Jobs

Maintains knowledge of current literature, trends, developments and codes in the field of architectural, furniture and interior design.

Reads, analyzes and interprets architectural drawings, blueprints, documents, contracts and contractual requirements and relates drawings to construction operations.

Performing other duties as assigned by supervisor or lead worker.

Conduct personal visits to furniture/construction projects to monitor progress with contractors.

Develops and manages standard checklists for space management, project management, and relocations. (5%)

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including accurate grammar and business correspondence knowledge.

Assist Project Managers in the coordination and planning of move logistics (Information Technology, Lock and Signage Shop, etc.) (5%)

Develops and manages content for Department of Space Planning website; manages and updates website as appropriate. (5%)

Manages and creates reports from the Space Request Database (as needed).

Exceptional interpersonal skills to maintain positive internal and external relationship.

Experience at a higher education institution or similarly complex environment is preferred.

1-3 years of professional experience in space planning, campus planning and/or architectural design.

Broad knowledge of architectural design, space planning and campus planning principles.

Advanced skills in AutoCAD, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, and SketchUp.

Professional experience applying both architectural and planning principles is desired.

Experience developing plans and/or planning studies preferred.
