Calendar Unit Clerk Jobs in New Jersey

Previous hospital experience, preferably clerical.

A unit clerk course which includes medical terminology is desirable.

High School diploma or equivalent

Must complete in-house orientation program

Speaks, reads, and writes English to the extent required by the position.

Ability to reach and retrieve files

Deliver new admission chart to the unit and initiate forms in preparation for admission.

Faxes physicians' orders daily - first thing in the morning from the previous shifts.

Delivers any faxed printouts to the appropriate department.

Completes daily transfer of the vital signs and weights from the daily assignment sheet to the resident's chart.

Check the supply drawers at the nurses' station and re-stock as needed.

Maintain an orderly and neat nurses' station.
