Unit Clerk Jobs

Avant Rehabilitation and Care Center is seeking a full-time Unit Clerk to assist our nursing management team.

Some of the responsibilities include:

• Schedule appointments with physicians for residents and relay the information to nursing
• Faxes physicians' orders daily - first thing in the morning from the previous shifts.
• Check the supply drawers at the nurses' station and re-stock as needed.
• Completes daily transfer of the vital signs and weights from the daily assignment sheet to the resident's chart.
• Deliver new admission chart to the unit and initiate forms in preparation for admission.
• Notify the Food Service Department of any dietary changes.
• Maintain an orderly and neat nurses' station.
• Document information as directed by Nursing Administration.
• Delivers any faxed printouts to the appropriate department.
• Screen all incoming phone calls for nursing and forward messages.
• Initiate any phone calls to the physician, family members, or personnel.
• Ensure that residents and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere which recognizes the individuals' needs and rights.
