May train and support less experienced engineers and team members.

Proposes and manages medium-scale projects from beginning to end. May scope and manage large capital investment projects (>$5M)

Bachelor's Degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or other relevant degree required. Equivalent experience may be substituted.

5 years plus of relevant experience required, strongly preferring automotive environment including experience with:

PLC experience such as; Siemens S7 Tia portal

Possess an operating knowledge of measuring systems

Diagnose and repair full-frame vehicles and uni-body structural damage

Repair and replace body panels

Replace damaged wiring harnesses or reinstall harnesses after body repair

Body Shop and/or vehicle prepping experience preferred

Pay - $16 - $18 Hourly

Washing vehicles to remove dirt, oil, grease, and debris from painted surfaces.

Smooth unmasked surfaces with sandpaper removing gloss from previous coats of paint.

Sand repair body surface using hand and power tools, spot fill and prime.

Maintain/clean shop and equipment daily

Investigate and implement countermeasures to improve process Quality and product yield

Dependable, work overtime, weekends and holidays as needed

Available for occasional off-hours calls (Some weekends and holiday work will be required)

1st Shift: 6am - 3pm

2nd Shift: 12pm - 8:30pm

Exceptional organization and data management skills

Ability to lead projects, define project scopes and manage capital budgets

Bachelor's Degree in Weld Engineering or equivalent work experience

5-8 years of experience working in a Manufacturing environment, Automotive preferred

4-6+ years’ experience in automotive environment, supporting joining processes

Experience with robotic welding and joining required

Minimum of three years hand on experience and on the job training in a related body shop field.

Graduate of vocational course or experience and training equivalent.

Must have necessary tools required to perform position responsibilities

Perform and/or assists in the performance of general bodywork duties.

Work on major components with close supervision.

Perform trouble shooting on minor problems.
