Behavior Support Specialist Jobs in Colorado

Assists school administrators, social workers, teaching personnel with screening, identification, management, and treatment of behavioral health.

Maintains working knowledge of and collaborates with district and community agencies and resources.

Has excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Five years teaching experience or providing related behavioral services.

Experience with working with students with special needs.

Three years of successful experience working with students with behavioral regulation needs.

General knowledge of the developmental disabilities system in Colorado .

Demonstrated skill applying behavioral techniques and in working with children or adults with developmental disabilities/mental illness.

Provide direct ABA therapy for clients at home, in the community, or in other environments as needed

Basic knowledge of the principles and practice of Applied Behavior Analysis.

Effective written and verbal communication skills with individuals and groups at all professional levels.

Display exceptional teamwork and collaboration skills with colleagues and supervisors to create a positive work environment

Must be competent and willing to perform Non-Violent Crisis Intervention physical managements as trained
