Banquet Services Manager Jobs in California

Expertise: 3 years experience in restaurant or hotel industry. degree in food service or hospitality management

Conducts post-event analysis and evaluation including entering event information into database and producing reports for event stakeholders and management, as requested.

Education: Associate’s Degree. Combined experience/education as substitute for minimum education

Experience managing and training a banquet team

Knowledge of various food service styles (i.e. French service, Russian service, Family Style service, Butler style service, etc.).

Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.

Your experience and skills include:

Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service

Lead and manage the Banquet team in all aspects of the department and ensure service standards are followed

Work closely with the Culinary and Stewarding team to ensure all banquet meeting requirements are in place

Previous leadership experience in food & beverage required

Excellent communication and organizational skills

A minimum of two (2) years’ of previous Food and Beverage leadership experience required

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Must have intermediate skills with Microsoft Office products; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Knowledge of food and alcoholic beverages required

Must possess basic computer skills
