Enter data information into freight station inventory and warehouse management system using desktop computer and handheld scanner

Minimum 4-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, cargo handling including Forklift operations as well as other materials handling equipment.

Sort and place shipments and or materials on racks, shelves, or designated areas according to

Build up and maximize airline containers and pallets; load / unload vehicles, vans, straight trucks and tractor trailers

Must meet all requirements to receive required airport SIDA badge and Customs Seal (if applicable), including ten-year work history if available.

1 yr of similar work experience

Ability to be empathetic, mindful and helpful to customers who have been separated from the belongings

Resourceful when dealing with mishandled baggage by tracing and reuniting customers with their belongings

Process all baggage tasks in the Task Manager Workflow

Understand and manage work based on DOT guidelines, limits to liability, Contract of Carriage and company policy

Implement policies and procedures for Priority Parcel Service packages • Log and manage Lost & Found/Left on Board items

Experience in customer service preferred

Strong verbal and written communication skills using appropriate grammar, tone, and pronunciation to effectively communicate with internal and external customers  

Monitor the conveyor line baggage flow balancing

Obtain, edit, and load flight schedules

Respond to operation inquiries, complaints, and issues

Interface directly with the user airlines, airport, NOACO, and the TSA

Ensure smooth daily startups by reviewing startup checklists and procedures

Good communication and customer service skills required

Ability to pass all background checks and security screenings per airport requirements.

Must be available to work scheduled shift (s), which may require work at night, weekends and holidays as required.

Attention to detail is very important, teamwork and the ability to perform under pressure and provide excellent client service.

Driver license with clean MVR highly desirable.

Experience in Microsoft office to include Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.

Electrical training and experience in an industrial environment or experience as maintenance mechanic

Specific vision abilities required for this job include: (clear vision at 20 feet or more with or without corrective lenses).
