Aviation Director Of Maintenance Jobs in California

Prepares near and long-range forecasts of MTS Rail equipment needs and related operational requirements for budgetary and other management purposes.

Coordinates with the MTS Rail System Safety Manager with respect to wayside maintenance requirements, audits, corrective action plans, policy, and procedures.

Establishes and promulgates rules, standard operating procedures, and required training programs for wayside maintenance and track personnel.

Reviews system failures or potential system failures to ascertain mitigation plans.

Directs investigations and initiates corrective action, as appropriate, into equipment failures and departmental incidents.

Reviews operating and maintenance reports and develops preventive maintenance procedures, as deemed necessary and appropriate.

Accountable for the overall management, performance, and well-being of the maintenance team.

Oversee core operations, including facility maintenance, property management, etc., and establish, maintain, and report KPI’s.

Work with managers and supervisors to create a safe working environment.

Assumes other duties as directed by the General Manager.

Supervisory Experience - Requires 5-plus years supervisory experience in an MRO environment and airline or OEM experience is a plus.

Budgeting/Scheduling Experience Must have at least 5-years of budgeting and scheduling experience and the ability to create execution strategies accordingly.
