Auto Body Technician Apprentice Jobs in Florida

Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

Basic Computer skills to utilize timekeeping system. Ability to learn parts department computer inventory and ordering system.

Assists Service Technician with examining customer vehicles.

Assists Service Technician with identifying necessary vehicle repairs and maintenance.

Must attain sixteen (16) Continuing Education Units (CEUs) on an annual basis

Direct Deposit, Bi-Weekly Pay Checks

Prepare impounded vehicle for release

Function as on call mechanic

Install and remove decals on equipment

Perform automotive maintenance and repair

Successful applicants need to be experienced, career minded, able to produce quality results & take pride in their work.

Knowledge of diagnostic tools and equipment is a must.

Working knowledge of all aspects of repairs for damaged unibody & full frame vehicles.

ASE and/or ICAR certifications in collision repair preferred.

Two or more years experience as a Collision Repair Technician preferred.

Conduct necessary auto body repairs / replacements and verify soundness by way of test drive.

Complete disassembly of vehicle to assist Collision Estimators in assessing damage to prepare a 100% Repair Plan

Ensure all needed repairs identified to eliminate supplements and minimize repair time

Plan work procedure: follow work order for all operations listed
