Audio Dj Jobs

Transport of, set up, and tear down, of equipment.

Use a turntable via the Serato Pro application to transition from one song to another.

If requested, it is expected for the DJ to play music that falls within the requested genre/theme as often as possible.

May have to use a microphone to give announcements or to MC an event.

Must be a current UM-Dearborn student and be enrolled during the Fall 2023 semester

Posess a general appreciation for music

Excellent Interpersonal Skills - Must work well with others at all levels of organization

Basic knowledge of Ice Hockey rules – will learn more in depth

Prior experience with Gameday entertainment is preferred

Previous experience in music operating / DJing

Huge experience for future careers in the sport or entertainment industry

Ability to select songs to excite fans

Time management and organizational abilities to handle multiple performances and events.

Time Management: Be punctual and organized in managing your schedule to ensure on-time performances and smooth transitions between events.

Proven experience as a DJ, preferably in a hospitality or entertainment setting.

Excellent knowledge of music genres and a wide-ranging music library.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Collaboration: Work closely with the onboard entertainment team, including dancers, singers, and other performers, to create coordinated shows and themed events.

Other duties as required by management

Perform a live or tracked mix show that follows the radio station music strategy as outlined by the brand manager.

Collaborate with Brand Manager and other employees on format execution and developing unique content for the show and social media.

On-air experience in contemporary music formats

Experience with Wide Orbit Automation system, Adobe Audition, and Vox Pro

Experience DJing live events and creating commercial mixes

Salary Estimate - $20000 - $60000 / year

Researches and gains knowledge of subject matter that facilitates speaking extemporaneously and providing immediate non-scripted analysis/commentary.

Strong knowledge of all FCC rules and regulations

3+ years of on-air radio experience required

Performs news, talk, music, comedic or other format shows or program for broadcast entertainment.

Establishes relationship with listeners by providing entertainment and/or information of interest consistent with format, genre, and targeted demographic audience.

Interviews guests, moderates debates, converses with callers, and hosts live events.

Hold experience in a similar capacity

Experience in sports and hockey is not mandatory, but highly preferred

Practical knowledge of Click Effects audio program and iTunes is mandatory
