Job Title: DJ / Music Operator

Position: Part-Time

Our Game Plan

The Bridgeport Islanders are in search of a Gameday DJ to join the Game Presentation Department and enhance the gameday atmosphere and in-game broadcasts. You will become the sound of Bridgeport Islanders and a huge part of the gameday entertainment. This position requires an elevated level of music knowledge and editing skills.

How to make the team

Perform in front of fans on gamedays. Be innovative with song ideas but also follow instructions of the Gameday Presentation Manager. This position will follow a script during gamedays bull will need to take initiative at times. Also, will follow direction of the genre of songs being played.

Show Us You Can

• Excellent music knowledge
• Ability to select songs to excite fans
• Ability to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Prior experience with Gameday entertainment is preferred
• Strong Ability to Receive Direction in a fast-paced environment
• Familiarity with Sports Preferred
• Excellent Interpersonal Skills - Must work well with others at all levels of organization
• Basic knowledge of Ice Hockey rules – will learn more in depth
• Extremely Detail Oriented

Your Equipment

• Equipped to troubleshoot/problem solve and remain calm in challenging situations
• Enthusiasm always when performing
• Extroverted personality
• Previous experience in music operating / DJing
• Flexible schedule. Must be able to work home games, nights, weekends, and holidays as required

Where You’ll Go

Preseason: 2 rehearsals during September and October prior to the season.

During the season: Bridgeport Islanders arena on Gamedays and the day prior for meetings.
