Athletics Coach Jobs in New York

Ability to effectively engage with and facilitate authentic learning for students of diverse backgrounds, cultures, and experiences.

Ability to adapt teaching pedagogy to the knowledge of each individual and class.

Bachelor’s degree and two years of experience in the discipline OR

An Associate degree and six years of experience in the discipline OR

Masters degree in an exercise science-related discipline + 2 years college level coaching experience.

Experience with web content management systems (SIDEARM preferred)

Experience in communications, or a related area

Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite software (especially Premiere Pro and Photoshop)

Broad knowledge of all sports, including rules and statistics

Experience inputting and calling stats using Genius software for volleyball and basketball and Statcrew for lacrosse

General knowledge of videography and photography

Supervise and manage students at all times using restorative practices and proactive interventions to ensure physical and emotional safety;

In pursuit of a Bachelor's Degree in Education or Physical Education, preferred;

Experience coaching a sport or similar experience, strongly preferred;

Experience working with groups of adolescents;

Interest in working with adolescents on foundational skill development;
