Maintain and keep current all shipment documentation in compliance with all record keeping requirements.

Insure the management of Customs Brokers in N America

Extensive knowledge and experience of Customs regulations, classification, valuation, country of origin, incoterm determination and translation into business practices, processes.

Required: Strong computer skills. Experienced in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SAP.

Extensive knowledge of FDA or other Ministry of Health regulations as they apply to imports.

Knowledge of Export Controls, Sanctions, Anti-boycott and Restricted Party Screening regulations.

Degree in Business Management, International Trade, Finance, Supply Chain, Risk Management or similar, required

Maintains core compliance processes and monitoring frameworks for the compliance management system

10+ years professional experience in compliance, required

Experience managing or implementing core corporate compliance programs (i.e. Code of Conduct, investigations, anti-bribery, conflict of interest)

Quality of inquiry resolution on customs and trade controls compliance topics

Responsible for timely support in region for internal controls assessments

Supervise the management of export customs requirements and filings for shipments from the US to Canada, Mexico, and Puerto Rico.

Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills with the ability to work cross-functionally and cross-culturally between departments, external providers, and remote teams.

Manage the annual CTPAT audit and security review to ensure compliance.

Lead cross-functional projects related to customs compliance and collaborate with remote teams in France and other locations.

Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of experience in import customs brokerage in a corporate environment or customs brokerage firm

Expert knowledge of Harmonized Tariff Classification (HTS), US customs regulations, duty drawback, entry documentation, in-bond cross-border shipments, and incoterms.

Applies basic working knowledge of import/export regulations and requirements to support business needs.

Interface with related functional areas (logistics, purchasing, materials management, etc.) on customs matters.

Minimum 2 years experience in import/export operations, international business, or other relevant field.

Sound problem solving and analytical abilities and close attention to detail required.

Ability to balance multiple priorities simultaneously and manage time appropriately.
