Overview An Associate Athletic Trainer is a healthcare professional who works with athletes to prevent, diagnose, and treat injuries. They provide medical care and rehabilitation services to athletes of all ages and levels of competition. They work closely with coaches, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the safety and well-being of athletes. Detailed Job Description An Associate Athletic Trainer is responsible for providing medical care and rehabilitation services to athletes of all ages and levels of competition. They assess injuries, provide treatment, and develop rehabilitation plans. They also provide education and counseling to athletes and their families on injury prevention and proper nutrition. They may also be responsible for developing and implementing injury prevention programs. Job Skills Required• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology
• Knowledge of injury prevention and rehabilitation
• Knowledge of sports medicine
• Ability to assess injuries and develop treatment plans
• Ability to communicate effectively with athletes, coaches, and other healthcare professionals
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to maintain accurate records
Job Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training or related field
• Certification as an Athletic Trainer (ATC)
• Current CPR/AED certification
• Experience working with athletes of all ages and levels of competition
Job Knowledge

• Knowledge of injury prevention and rehabilitation
• Knowledge of sports medicine
• Knowledge of nutrition and dietary needs of athletes
