Assistant Teacher Child Care Jobs in Maine

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY REQUIREMENT

Be knowledgeable in, and uphold, state licensing requirements and regulations

Other duties as assigned by Childcare Manager

At least 21 college credits in Early Education or a qualifying Associate's Degree.

At least year experience working in a licensed childcare center, or as an Early Elementary Educator.

First Aid & CPR Certification

Successful experience caring for children within a group infant-toddler child care environment.

Demonstrated communication skills and ability to work effectively as a team member.

Employee must earn Pediatric CPR and First Aid certification within 90 days of hire (training provided).

Communicates regularly with parents/guardians of enrolled children on issues such as progress, problems and opportunities.

Insures the constant oversight of the total group of children.

Maintains records, reports and/or information regarding childs attendance, behavior, development, interactions, illnesses, injuries, and other medical attention.

Working with a team of teachers, to provide a caring environment where children are safe and secure.

Cleaning/disinfecting toys per DEEC regulations.

Setting up afternoon activities/learning centers and engage in play.

Restocking classroom areas as requested.

Assisting classroom teacher with closing of the classroom each day. To qualify, you must have:

At least 18 years of age.

Salary commensurate with experience, educations and/or EEC certification
