Assistant Project Manager Janitorial Jobs in Ohio

Minimum of 8 years in janitorial services and in management of projects of more than 500,000 square feet preferred.

Familiarity with estimating, project management, engineering functions and practices

Manage smaller sized jobs (under $50k).

Have and develop a working knowledge of the local construction marketplace.

Have and develop technical knowledge of mechanical system operations.

Technical skills in programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Bluebeam Revu, etc.

Possess strong written and communication skills

BS in Construction Management or related construction degree with up to 5 years of commercial construction experience.

Read and understand Construction Design Documents and Specifications.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Assist the project management staff with the management of rehabilitation and construction projects in the following capacities:

Perform other responsibilities as assigned by Director or Sr. Project Manager.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND LICENSES:

Report schedule variances to Senior Project Manager or Director in a timely manner.

Manage small purchases for products and services with approval from the Director/Designee.

Excellent time management and organizational skills, detail orientation with solid analytical, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills

Drive performance management in performance reviews, setting clear job expectations, coaching and directing staff, and using disciplinary action when necessary.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

3 to 5 years of experience, including 2 years of supervisory experience.

BS in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a closely related field is highly preferred.
