Job Description
Key Purpose

The Janitorial Manager is responsible for the day-to-day janitorial functions, and employees, in an aviation environment. The Janitorial Manager may need to perform janitorial tasks in addition to supervisory duties.

The Janitorial Manager must work successfully with fellow employees and all levels of the organization and maintain the highest level of quality standards. She/He/They must be able to understand and explain instructions on how to complete a task using basic communication.

Ideal Candidate Experience

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 3+ years of commercial janitorial experience
  • Must be available to work weekends and holidays if needed
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English (preferred)

Key Accountabilities

  • Optimizes planning, operations, training and resources to ensure maximum capability is attained
  • To ensure all policies and procedures are adhered to, in line with legislation
  • To order any supplies needed for housekeeping
  • Enforces work standards and reviews/resolves work discrepancies to ensure compliance with contract requirements
  • To monitor the appearance of the premises, ensure it is kept clean, tidy, well organized, fully stocked and fully staffed
  • Directs completion of assigned tasks within estimated time frames and budget constraints
  • To manage, train, supervise and motivate janitorial staff, ensuring their development
  • To deal with complaints or difficult situations in an efficient and professional manner
  • To be able to work efficiently with professionalism at all times and maintain high standards
