Assistant Director Of Athletics For Sports Performance Jobs in New York

Excellent interpersonal skills are required to interact effectively with student athletes, athletics staff, and others.

Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to direct and supervise others are important.

Certification through the NSCA (CSCS)

Observes, shadows, and assists Performance Coaches during training sessions

Teaching and monitoring correct exercise techniques

Assists with testing, data collection, and interpretation using programs including Teambuildr, FirstBeat, Catapult, and Vitruve

Excellent written and verbal communications skills with demonstrated presentation abilities.

Experience securing gifts from high-level donors in higher education.

5+ years of experience in higher education fundraising and/or intercollegiate athletics.

Manage a portfolio of approximately 75 prospective donors, engaging and soliciting them for gifts.

Oversee GDAC's activities, services, and membership benefits. Increase the number of leadership level ($1,000+) annual gifts to GDAC.

Manage the GDAC Advisory Board, recruiting and engaging board members and leveraging their potential as sources of support.

Work closely with the department Office Manager on the annual athletic awards program.

Work closely with the Director of Athletics Communications (SID) including but not limited to the following areas:

Write and prepare releases, game programs, feature stories, game recaps pertaining to Hartwick Athletics for dispersal to media outlets

Help maintain athletic website (rosters, schedules, stats, releases, game recaps)

Serve as statistician for home athletic events (as assigned)

Create promotional graphics and video content
