· Experience working with older adults is preferred; a deep interest in doing so is essential.

· Experience teaching the arts or wellness both in person and online is preferred.

· High level of dedication and personal responsibility is required.

· Bilingual is a plus.

Part-Time Faculty: Kinesiology, Sport Management & Wellness - (2023-2024)

Evaluation of student performance is through either exams, papers, or assessment of student skills.

Bachelor’s degree with certification in specific area or Master of Science in a related area.

Terminal degree or extensive experience required to teach graduate-level courses.

Required Certifications, Licenses or Registrations

Preparation of course outline is based on syllabus provided by the department.

Must have project management experience including research, project development, timeline development and budget creation. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Experience working with cross-sector partners including: arts industry, healthcare, community organizations, educational institutions, insurance providers and government.

Ability to lead effective project management teams in achieving goals.

5+ years of experience in the field, managing programs and budgets.

Strong computer proficiency skills, especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Compile a directory of arts and wellness initiatives that exist in Central Florida. Synthesize findings and present results to key stakeholders.

Evidence of education and experience necessary to indicate that they are competent to teach a given course.

Displaying a thorough knowledge of both the curriculum and the subject matter.

Collaborating with student-facing institutional personnel to enhance the student experience.

All Faculty will carry a teaching load requirement, determined annually.

Collaborate with other university departments to ensure a positive experience for all university students.

Enhance teaching effectiveness skills by attending seminars, webinars, workshops, and classes through both internal and external programming.

Evidence of education and experience necessary to indicate that they are competent to teach a given course.
