Knowledge of and experience with ‘recent past’ resources

One to five years of professional experience in historic preservation or a related field.

Experience in Western United States, Alaska, and/or Hawaii

Experience working in the consulting environment, able to handle multiple projects simultaneously and be responsive to both internal and external clients

Working knowledge of GIS and basic understanding of cultural resources mapping and data collection

Field experience using established methods and techniques of applied architectural research for historic buildings and structures

Excellent organization, coordination, management, and leadership skills

Experience with historic resource database management

Project management experience, including a proven ability to be on time and on budget

Provide management support to field teams and subcontractors

Knowledge and experience working with Section 106 of National Historic Preservation Act

Manage and mentor team members

Create draft versions of PowerPoint presentations for targeted audiences, under the supervision of leadership.

Assist in designing product lines for effective publicization of organizational history.

Work with team to translate data into aesthetically appealing and easy to understand materials.

Provide background research, with appropriate guidance from team for products in development.

Keep history SharePoint site up to date with most recent products developed by the program.

Coordinate and attend meetings across internal and external entities and SMEs using Skype, Teams, and telephone.

Familiarity with the DPAA Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), r eporting requirements and case management systems.

Required Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

Experience in collaborating with researchers from a variety of disciplines and backgrounds. Interdisciplinary educational and/or research experience is preferred.

Experience with data base systems and client processes.

Demonstrated knowledge of client’s accounting practices and processes.

Minimum of 6-8 years experience required
