PRIMARY FUNCTION

StraitSys is looking for a Counterintelligence (CI) Historian to support our U.S. Government customer in Washington, D.C. The CI Historian supports the creation of an enterprise-wide approach utilizing historical data to derive operationally applicable knowledge.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Work with team to translate data into aesthetically appealing and easy to understand materials.
  • Provide background research, with appropriate guidance from team for products in development.
  • Coordinate and attend meetings across internal and external entities and SMEs using Skype, Teams, and telephone.
  • Work with team to consolidate a collection of classified resources. This includes identifying space and developing an appropriate cataloging system.
  • Transcribe and summarize oral history interviews
  • Systematically solicit bibliographic recommendations from team to develop a dynamic, SharePoint-based database as a resource for personnel.
  • Develop and populate an interface – with appropriate technical guidance – linked to the history SharePoint site that will facilitate the addition of dates and developments to dynamic timelines of relevant history.
  • Assist to establish a central database for centralized awareness of physical aspects of program history.
  • Keep history SharePoint site up to date with most recent products developed by the program.
  • Assist in designing product lines for effective publicization of organizational history.
  • Work with team to identify evidence / artifacts and to populate database with information regarding type, location, etc.
  • Create draft versions of PowerPoint presentations for targeted audiences, under the supervision of leadership.
  • Create extracts of Program products for dissemination via internal publications. These extracts will link back to products posted on the Program’s SharePoint site.
  • Work with team to identify opportunities for display of materials.
  • Facilitate proper set-up / paperwork / recording devices for oral history interviews.
  • Assist in the development of a visual repository of program artifacts.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft products: Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
  • Aptitude for website development

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Active Top Secret Clearance / SCI eligible
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in History or related field.
