Americorps Tutors are responsible for providing tutoring services to students in underserved communities. They work with students of all ages, from elementary school to college, to help them improve their academic performance and reach their educational goals. Tutors must have a strong knowledge of the subject matter they are teaching and be able to explain it in a way that is easy for students to understand. They must also be able to assess the student’s current level of understanding and create lesson plans that are tailored to the student’s individual needs.
