Alcohol and Other Drug Specialists are responsible for providing comprehensive assessment, treatment, and recovery services to individuals with substance use disorders. They assess the individual’s needs and develop individualized treatment plans. They provide individual and group counseling, as well as education and support to individuals and their families. They also provide referrals to appropriate resources and coordinate care with other providers.

• Ability to assess and diagnose substance use disorders
