Ed Admission Transport Tech Jobs in Ohio

75 hours of clinical rotation in a medical arena with one (1) year healthcare experience required OR

Five (5) years of continuous phlebotomy experience

Assists with toileting i.e. bedpan, commodes, urinals, incontinence care.

Proper body mechanics for transfers/ambulation.

With at least 120 hours of clinical rotation in a medical arena OR

Environmental Demands and Exposure to Hazards: Works in a clean, well-lighted, heated or ventilated facility. No routine exposure to hazards.

Paramedic, AEMT, EMT, or CNA.

Must possess high school diploma or equivalent.

Must be able to read, speak, and write fluent English.

Sitting – Approximately 25% of shift.

Standing– Approximately 50% of shift.

Walking – Approximately 50% of shift.

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.

(External Candidates) - Certification as a Nursing Assistant (C.N.A), Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)

(Internal Candidates) - Must have a minimum of 1 year of work experience within UofL Health.

Coursework/Training Completion of ED tech residency program through Providence Oregon Emergency Services. Or equivalent educ/experience.

Patient care or clinical experience preferred.

Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.

Transport patients from the Emergency Department to admitted Unit.

Transport patients from Ed to other areas as needed.

Will be trained in Cardiac monitoring

Attend and pass competency in critical care EKG course and refresher courses on an annual basis.

Department stocking, maintaining a clean working environment and upkeep.

Patient care under the direction of the Registered Nurse.
