Adjunct Faculty – Department Of Teacher Education Jobs in Ohio

Communicating with Department Chair of the School of Education and staff to address student questions and concerns.

Adjunct Faculty-Education (Franklin County P-5)

Completing, collecting, and submitting all required documents for student teaching according to program deadlines;

Conducting weekly communication with candidates in person, by phone, through zoom meetings and/or via e-mail;

Skill in the use of educational technology highly desired

Experience in K-12 classroom setting desired

This adjunct faculty teaches undergraduate courses in Education.

Maintains office hours for assisting students

Participates in departmental and College affairs

Performs other duties as assigned

Experience teaching in P12 schools and/or institutes of higher education (as applicable to the area of interest for adjunct teaching).

Degree appropriate significant experience/training relevant to the level of class and content area being taught

Division of Teacher Education and Curriculum Studies in the School of Education at the University of Missouri-KC

Teaching experience, classroom, clinical or online.

Competitive salary range dependent on the candidate's experience.

Responsibilities for a term adjunct position may include:

Course instruction consistent with accreditation standards.

Grading assignments, monitoring student participation.

Participation in weekly video conference office hours.

Experience teaching in higher education

Working knowledge of CAATE operational and educational standards

Knowledge and experience with the accreditation process

Assist the Clinical Education Coordinator in delivering clinical rotation orientation to the MAT students prior to beginning their rotations.

Cultivate a learning-centered environment through student development and evaluation to support dynamic and engaging classroom experiences.

Integrating, instructing, and assessing content from the CAATE Educational Standards as they are aligned with assigned courses.
