Overview Addiction Recovery Medical Assistants provide support to medical professionals in the treatment of patients with substance abuse and addiction. They are responsible for providing medical care, administering medications, and providing emotional support to patients in recovery. They also help to coordinate care between medical professionals and other members of the treatment team. Detailed Job Description Addiction Recovery Medical Assistants are responsible for providing medical care to patients with substance abuse and addiction. They must be knowledgeable about the various types of addiction and the treatments available. They must be able to assess the patient's condition and provide appropriate medical care. They must also be able to administer medications and provide emotional support to patients in recovery. Additionally, they must be able to coordinate care between medical professionals and other members of the treatment team. Job Skills Required• Knowledge of addiction and substance abuse

Job Knowledge
Addiction Recovery Medical Assistants must have a thorough knowledge of addiction and substance abuse, medical terminology, and the treatments available. They must also have a good understanding of the various types of medications used to treat addiction and the side effects associated with them.
Job Experience
Addiction Recovery Medical Assistants should have experience working with patients with substance abuse and addiction. They should also have experience administering medications and providing emotional support to patients in recovery.
