Job Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Plans and manages production schedules to meet customer delivery requirements and utilize the company’s production capacity.

Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school, operations management or supply chain, preferred.

Manages inventory levels, schedules, and availability of raw materials to meet production schedules.

Oversees monthly inventory physical count and manages adjustments that follow.

Receives and reviews sales orders against current requirements and work in process using the material requirement planning report.

Minimum Experience: 3-5 years manufacturing experience with progressive responsibilities and leadership experience. Experience in medical device industry preferred.

Unload boxes (up to 70 lbs) from the conveyor

Stack boxes on pallets in correct pattern

Six months of administrative or data entry experience;

One to two years of administrative or data entry experience;

Manages daily and monthly weight reporting of product lines;

Reports in daily and through e-mail to Plant Manager activities and issues;

Performs administrative duties and prepares special projects for Plant Manager.

SAP, COSWIN and OEE experience;

Stacks finished products according to predetermined bundle sizes and/or customer requirements

Follows instructions for stacking material properly and according to company policy and customer requirements

No minimum experience is required, but manufacturing or lumber experience is preferred

Working knowledge of basic math

General labor is responsible for safely handling lumber products. Verifies material meets customer requirements and company expectations.

Moves and secures lumber products and other materials according to instructions

Requires some work experience or intermediate level knowledge obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.

High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.

Operates machines and production equipment in accordance with quality and productivity requirements safely in a manufacturing environment with limited guidance.

Experience operating CNC machines a plus

Promote interdependence by looking out for one another.

Follows all applicable standard work, process documentation and quality procedures such as Statistical Process Control (SPC), poka-yoke and visual standards.

Experience in manufacturing, industrial or construction environment (preferred)

Good reading comprehension skills (required)

The essential functions of this position are:

Directly supervises all 1st shift production employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Green Bay Packaging policies and applicable laws.

Report quality concerns to Plant Manager. Assist in determining quality guidelines.

Coordinate with Plant Manager and Maintenance Supervisor on any repairs or preventive maintenance done in the department.

Keep Plant Manager informed of problems or situations that may affect the performance of your department.

Recommend training needs to Plant Manager.

Follow manufacturing and quality procedures and complies to the documented requirements

5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment running machining equipment

Diploma in a machining related course from a technical or trade school or equivalent experience, preferred

Demonstrated computer skills. Ability to learn how to use new software platforms i.e. SharePoint, Oracle, Access, etc.

Perform visual inspection and gauges

Perform incoming receiving inspection. Perform dimensional lay-out inspection on in-house and vended manufactured product

Perform Autonomous Maintenance on equipment

Engage in continuous improvement activities such as exposing problems, collecting data to solve problems, and suggesting improvement ideas

Understand and follow all policies and procedures related to GMP/QMS/SOP

Experience in production / manufacturing environment a plus

Physically capable of lifting and moving items weighing up to 65 pounds

Physically able to bend, reach, stoop, push and pull as required in a production operation

Able to climb ladders, crawl under equipment and work in tight spaces.

Physically capable of standing for long periods of time

Physically capable of normal range of motion in all extremities
