Job Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Plans and manages production schedules to meet customer delivery requirements and utilize the company’s production capacity.

Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school, operations management or supply chain, preferred.

Manages inventory levels, schedules, and availability of raw materials to meet production schedules.

Oversees monthly inventory physical count and manages adjustments that follow.

Receives and reviews sales orders against current requirements and work in process using the material requirement planning report.

Maintain quality, efficiencies, and production levels set by management. Communicate these standards to your employees.

Directly supervises all 1st shift production employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Green Bay Packaging policies and applicable laws.

Report quality concerns to Plant Manager. Assist in determining quality guidelines.

Coordinate with Plant Manager and Maintenance Supervisor on any repairs or preventive maintenance done in the department.

Keep Plant Manager informed of problems or situations that may affect the performance of your department.

Recommend training needs to Plant Manager.

Facilitate transitions between shifts and seamless handoffs and communicate key information to peers, team members and Production Management

Ability to manage multiple priorities at one time using effective organizational skills and judgment in an environment of frequently changing circumstances.

At least two years of supervisory experience in a food manufacturing environment.

Document daily production activities and review results against established targets and report variances during on-the-floor and review meetings.

Responsible for all supervisory activities including, but not limited to, scheduling, performance, hiring, discipline, coaching, training and development and termination recommendations.

Participate in continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities and recommending changes within own area of responsibility

You can inspect, pack, and stack products

You are willing to train employees when needed

You perform safety inspections following Quality and Food Safety standards

You read and interpret documents such as; safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals

You can lift up to 40 pounds frequently; lift/push/pull 30lbs occasionally

Other duties as warranted by senior management

Ability to perform basic math skills

Manufacture high quality products in a safe and sanitary manner while following GoMacro’s food safety guidelines and GMPs.

Cooperatively work with team members from start to finish to create MacroBars

This entails properly weighing out ingredients, operating the mixer, monitoring the production line, and physically transferring product to the packager

Effectively operating the packager, tray loader, box erector, and finally palletizing finished goods
