Job Description

Summary of Position (Job Purpose)
  • Major purpose and functions of the position.

    • Responsibilities include the implementation, administration and execution monitoring of AP/LP initiatives, processes, communications, programs, resources and tactics relating to shrink, cash loss and safety efforts and results.
    • Partner and lead Zone Teams and RAPM direct reports to achieve shrink, cash loss & safety objectives.
    • Actively engage, support and train Zone Teams and RAPM direct reports on AP/LP initiatives, processes, communications, programs, resources and tactics relating to the protection of company assets.
    • Subject matter expert and primary lead to report in a timely manner, provide direction, coaching and support with internal, external, burglaries, robberies and crime type investigations.

    Principal Duties and Responsibilities
  • Primary responsibilities listed in order of importance

    • Partner with our Analytics team to continuously strengthen, maximize usage, drive action and execution of our shrink, SRT, cash-loss and safety exception based reporting metrics.
    • Positive leverage of AP/LP processes, communications, programs, resources and tactics versus shrink, cash-losses and safety performance efforts and results.
    • Actively lead, engage, support, train, coach/council and develop RAPM direct reports through weekly formal/informal meetings/calls and field store visits.
    • Actively partner, react and drive action with Zone teams and RAPM direct reports to negative shrink/cash-loss/safety trends and results in “high shrink and or high risk class” stores.
    • Conduct and direct AP/LP store visits to drive action, identify program execution/opportunities, create awareness and or violations of policies.
    • Build and strengthen our business partnerships with Zone teams and RAPM direct reports by establishing credibility, being collaborative, reliable and performance results.
    • Actively participate, prepare and provide AP/LP updates on shrink/cash-loss/safety trends, results and program compliance in weekly Store Ops., monthly shrink cross functional and quarterly field leadership meetings.
    • Partner at all levels of Zone teams and RAPM direct reports to strengthen and leverage the execution of our AP/LP processes, communications, programs, resources and tactics versus shrink, cash losses and safety performance efforts and results.

    • Assist and support Risk Management as needed with regulatory compliance type investigation of federal/state OSHA and or state/city violations.
    • Maintain knowledge of AP/LP industry trends, laws and governmental compliance.
    • Facilitate, assist and coordinate in physical security installs/repairs/replacement of defensive merchandising, alarms, CCTV, police, guards, armored car, smart safes & greeters.

    Minimum Requirements/Qualifications
  • Summary of knowledge, experience and education required.

    • Wicklander-Zulawski certified (Basic and or Advanced)
    • Direct reports.
    • Proven and positive history of shrink/cash loss results
    • Above average understanding of alarms, cctv and industry physical security equipment.
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
    • 15 plus years of multi retail stores (Big & Small box type stores).
    • Retail references in and outside of AP/LP industry
    • Frequent travel with overnight stays
    • Above average understanding Microsoft office, exception based reporting and industry type shrink/cash-loss metrics.
    • Strong investigative and interviewing skills.

    • Bachelor’s Degree – Relative Major
    • Certifications; LPC, LPQ, CFI, CFE and CPP
