Youth Minister: St. Clarence

The successful candidate will be expected to conceive, develop, execute and continually evaluate a comprehensive program. The qualified candidate will be responsible for faith formation of High School age youth in grades 9-12 utilizing Life Teen Materials and resources. The qualified candidate will also be expected to develop an Edge program for our middle school age children to prepare them for active involvement in High School youth ministry. This will involve working with our Director of Faith Formation in preparing our young men and women for Confirmation. We would eventually like to explore a program for our post high school young adult men and women as well.

The successful candidate will be an active and practicing Roman Catholic with a vibrant and inviting personal and communal faith expression. (S)he should have good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a dedicated and energetic pastoral staff as well as the targeted groups mentioned above. The position is responsible for but not limited to; " Faith formation " Relationship Building " Youth and Young Adult Catechesis " Recruitment and formation of volunteers " Integration of the youth into the full liturgical; missional and evangelical life of the parish community " Provision of regularly scheduled social, ministerial and recreational age appropriate opportunities. The ideal qualifications include experience in youth ministry. An earned Bachelor's degree in youth ministry, religious studies or theology or relevant combination of experience and education is desired.
