Youth Biz Camp (Entrepreneurship) Facilitator

Our youth Biz Camps ignites the entrepreneurial mindset with unique learning experiences that empower students ages 12-18, to own their futures.
We are searching for a mission-driven and experienced collaborative professional to serve as an Entrepreneurship Facilitator, for summer youth Biz Camp program. In this role, you will oversee operations, support strategy, and manage key relationships for these critical programs.
A Biz Camp Facilitator is a highly skilled, disciplined, and passionate educator who exemplifies sound pedagogical and/or andragogical content knowledge, effective and varied engagement strategies, data-driven decisions, and a belief that an entrepreneurial mindset can change a participant’s life trajectory.
Based on areas of interest and skill, the Facilitator must be an inclusive builder of partnerships and align their engagement strategies with the priorities of the partner. The right candidate will be able to articulate the value of our program model, understand best practices when instructing a Biz Camp, demonstrate knowledge of the applicable market and apply strong problem-solving and client support skills.

Requirements
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• Assist with developing a program where participants will learn to think creatively about how to leverage their skills and talents to create a new business or level up an existing business.
• Assist with culminating event activities, and other general program requirements as needed.
• Help program participants to learn the core concepts and principles of business startup (i.e., the Entrepreneurial Mindset, Marketing & Sales, the Lean Canvas, etc.).
• Learn and become familiar with the Biz Camp course offerings pertaining to your Scope of Work’s required facilitation, and additional supporting materials.
• Contribute to creating & delivering program assessments for proper evaluation of program impact.
• Help program participants to be exposed to key entrepreneurial opportunities with stakeholders.
• Create an environment of learning through effective teaching skills and stay current with relevant industry standards.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

• Experience with Canvas, or other Learning Management Systems.
• Strong follow-through, implementation, and attention to detail skills.
• Must work independently and collaboratively, displaying leadership and the ability to maintain course pacing.
• Strong support and integration of NFTE’s values and culture.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required - preferably in business, entrepreneurship, or education
• The ability to create an inclusive and equitable program culture for all program participants
• Course planning, implementation and project management experience.
• Reliable transportation and valid identification are required for travel if/as needed.
• Understanding of adult learning theory
• The ability to exhibit high energy and to motivate and inspire youth, educators, and professionals
• At least 3-5 years of professional experience in relation to providing entrepreneurship education
• Exceptional facilitation, interpersonal, and communication skills
• The ability to receive and implement feedback and coaching
