Position: Youth Development Specialist Salary: $48,000
The YMCA Youth & Family Services is looking for a self-motivated and dynamic professional to join the Y family. This work involves identification of issues and conditions in each case, assessment of those issues and conditions, and selection of a course of action from many alternatives. You will become part of a high functioning team that will help you learn skills throughout your career. You will make a difference everyday keeping children safe!

About the Job
The Youth Development Specialist provides trauma informed, culturally relevant, in-person youth development services to sixty-five (65) youth per year per school, designed to promote protective factors and strengthen resilience. Provides general client services and case management in a Montgomery County Public School
Some of the exciting tasks you will do as a Care Manager include but are not limited to:
  • Attend county-indicated trainings for youth development practitioners.
  • Provide youth development activities which may include sports, arts, outdoor recreation, gardening, community service projects, mentoring, and other activities that give purpose and encourage self-care, healing, and provide mutual peer support.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Must be Bilingual, Spanish/English
  • High School diploma required.
  • Experience working with youth and parents from diverse populations.
  • Experience working with the school system (preferred).
