Description:

POSITION SUMMARY: The Yard Supervisor is a working position and will also supervise and delegate duties throughout the Industrial Scrap Yard.

REPORTS TO: Yard Manager

SUPERVISES: Scale Clerk, Heavy Equipment Operator, Buy Room Operator

Requirements:

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain equipment and communicate needs with Maintenance Director
  • Assist manager of inventory for ferrous and non-ferrous commodities
  • Keep the yard clean, organized, and safe to maintain efficiency.
  • Customer service with daily peddler foot traffic
  • Lead employees and delegate daily job tasks

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • Heavy equipment operator experience required.
  • Previous knowledge and understanding of ferrous and non-ferrous commodities preferred.
