Job Description
Overview:

This position will conduct day-to-day tasks related to facilities maintenance for a variety of Western Milling’s sites.

Responsibilities:
  • Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
  • May operate and maintain heavy equipment such as forklifts or grounds keeping equipment such front end loaders or a back-hoe.
  • Provides direction and training to less experienced Facilities Maintenance Personnel
  • Moves furniture and equipment as assigned.
  • Operates sprinkler systems, performs corrective action for lawn stress situations, and utilizes appropriate fertilization compounds and systems.
  • May perform the replacement of minor electrical devices.
  • Mixes appropriate chemical(s) (i.e. cleaning, fertilizer, construction compounds) per manufacturer's specifications.
  • Travel to assigned facilities maintenance.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager.
  • May operate various grounds keeping equipment associated with mowing, planting, trimming, or pruning, etc. as required.
  • Must comply with work order system to include interpreting work orders, performing work requested and completing work orders with general direction.
  • Performs any other miscellaneous duties as requested.
  • Complies with all company policies and procedures and adheres to company standards.
Qualifications:
  • A high school diploma is required
  • Ability to read labels, directions, work orders, etc.
  • Minimum of one (1) year in similar role.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license
Skills:
  • Must be physically able to perform maintenance tasks to the highest caliber.
  • Ability to travel and drive company vehicle to assigned facilities.
  • Must be a team player committed working in a quality environment.
Physical Requirments:
  • Must be able to climb ladders and work at elevations of 175 ft.
  • Must be able to lift and/or move 60 lbs on a regular basis
Environment:
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts.
  • The employee will be exposed to outdoor weather conditions
  • The employee may be exposed to chemicals used in the process
  • The employee will be regularly exposed to very dusty and noisy conditions

The pay range for this position is $16/hr to $18/hr. The Company offers paid vacation time, paid sick leave, medical, dental and vision plans as well as a 401(k) with employer match.
