X-Ray Technician Jobs

Job description

· Operate C-Arm for all fluoroscopic radiography cases as needed.

· Uses adequate shielding for patients, personnel and facility.

· Ensures equipment is in working order

· Reports and handles equipment malfunctions to the management of the Center

· Relays any information regarding follow-up with the service technician to the management of the Center.

· Stocks necessary radiologic supplies.

· Assists with emergency procedures as directed.

· Follows Center policy and procedures at all times.

· Makes sure all radiographs are properly identified with patient information and anatomical markings; prints films whenever necessary

· Maintenance of personal radiation monitoring devices

· Proper storage of radiation monitoring badges when not in use

· Keeps all x-ray equipment clean and presentable and cleans all portable units before entering Operating Room and is responsible for sterile technique whenever necessary.

· Ensure compliance for Quality and safety standards, report any identifiable problems in a timely manner

· Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to age of patients served in department.

· Any and all other tasks, as requested by the Director of Nursing, even when those tasks are not related to radiological technician’s duties.

· Communicates a positive and caring attitude toward patient, staff and all other contacts.

· Seeks guidance, direction and assistance when needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45.00 - $50.00 per hour
