Working Broodmare Assistant Jobs

Broodmare Horse Farm working assistant sought for a full-time farm position in Fort Edward, NY. This is a responsible position with a great farm in the exciting thoroughbred breeding industry.

The successful candidate will coordinate, organize and execute all aspects of broodmare and foal husbandry to include the care, foaling, feeding, watering and maintenance of thoroughbred mares and their foals, barn/stall cleaning and maintenance, field mowing, and some farm property maintenance. The ideal candidate will be an experienced, independent worker who is capable of interacting effectively with veterinarians, farriers, and staff. Experience with the use of farm machinery (tractor and manure spreader, mower) is helpful but not required. This is a position that involves physical work outdoors.

Patience around young horses. Good communication and people skills and organized.

Fully furnished 2-bedroom apartment on the farm. Full kitchen with stove, microwave, and dishwasher. Washer and dryer in the apartment. Central heat and A/C.
